I’ve been working out primarily at home for over 10 years. During that, I have been (and still am) a big fan of Beachbody on Demand. However, with the pandemic and working from home now, I needed more workout options.
I got my Peloton bike+ in November of last year. I have consistently used it once or twice for exercising each week, though it’s mostly been just cycling. Last week I wrapped up the Beachbody program I had been following and was ready for something new. With all of the options available on the bike+, I decided to create my own 6-week Peloton-only workout program.
I was planning to share a review of the bike after I had it for six months. I realized two things: first, in six weeks I will have had the bike for six months; and, two, I couldn’t give a fair review without putting it to more use. So I’ll be chronicling my six-week journey, sharing my workouts and my experience. I’d love for you to join me if you have a Peloton and/or the Peloton app, and hold me accountable. I’ll post daily on Instagram stories about that day’s workout. Twice a week I’ll post on my blog (juliewrites.me), sharing the coming week’s workouts and a wrap-up of the previous week. If you’re part of the Peloton family, share your workouts, too!
For my weekly workouts, I like to have three or four days of strength training and two days of cardio. Sometimes, like on a day I do a bootcamp workout, I get in both strength and cardio. I also plan for one recovery day where I will do a Pilates, yoga or barre workout. I also give myself at least one full rest day where the extent of my workout is taking a walk.
Technically, last week was the first week in my Peloton-only workout journey. The list of classes I took, along with my rating, are below. Following that are the classes I am taking this week.
*For the record, I am in no way affiliated with Peloton nor am I getting paid or receiving any type of compensation for these posts or series. I’m just a girl on a bike, sharing her workouts to encourage and inspire others.*
